Mustaine was center stage, song writer and it was his band. Marty was clearly the main lead guitarist.

yeah but I twas understood that marty was the lead player and dave was the 2nd option. The lead player is always #1 even if the other guy writes all the music and plays some leads also. In every two guitar attack, one guy is the #1 and the other is #2. Sometimes its close like in Maiden, so there I would say its a toss up but in most cases its #1 and #2.

ME

I've been a 2nd guitar in almost every band I've been in throughout my life.

I've always played the rhythms to Jimi Page, Hendrix, Joe Walsh, Andy(the Police guy), the Rush guy

and EDDIE.

Malcolm Young. Dude is solid as a fucking rock. Barely uses any overdrive, tight rhythm, never overplays and puts a hell of a backbone in AC/DCs songs. Also more of a lead guy but since very few people seem to be aware of the individuals in the heartbreakers, I gotta say Mike Campbell. I love the dudes tone and playing. Great leads and melodies, never overplays and always fits the song.
