I like Beato well enough. Like Billy, I don't watch all of his stuff, but if he has a guest or topic I'm interested in then I'll watch his content.

I agree, the youtube influencers, with no professional experience, can get fucked.

Man, I'm so feeling that last part. I noticed over the weekend that reviews of the Bad Cat Jet Black just all magically showed up across a multitude of YouTubers and it's making me really hate the grift, site, and brands.

All the major brands are pulling this shit. They send out free product to these influencer turds, make them sign agreements to not release details until a specific date, then hypebeast tf out of the product on the set date convince people these Chinese mass produced widgets are in short supply. All the big “review” channels do this so they keep the free products coming in. It removes all the journalistic integrity of these “reviews”.

I couldn't agree more!

I will say that I still have some respect for Thomas Blug with how he's handled the Amp-X on YouTube and social media I'm general.

Maybe we're winding down on the "influence" part of YouTube?
