Damn, yeah I remember buying them in the 80's for next to nothing. They all sound good, but the compressor especially is outstanding. I will buy at least that one. The distortion was good too from what I remember. I had one and paired it with a SD-1 into a clean amp before I could get a proper amp, it did its job well.

Yes, the phase is OTA based like the original and the chorus uses bucket brigade chip V3207. I listened to the JHS demos and they all sounded great, definitely now interested in getting the chorus, phase and compressor.
The Comp is basically a variation of the MXR Dynacomp circuit but it has been a favorite of mine for ages.
BYOC had a 5 Knob comp version of the Ross that was awesome and the Way Huge Saffron Squeeze is in that vein too. It's not transparent in the best way.

BYOC also had the original 2 knob Ross clone that you could upgrade to NOS components, but I'm not sure if they still sell it. It's a good one!
Still buying the new comp, because I have problems...
