It is very daunting. I finally made it to a castle last night. Not the main path, but a change of scenery. Trying to level up before I continue the main path. There is a vid that shows a hack to kill a dragon for a lot of runes to level up.

Yeah first time I went to the first boss on Elden Ring, I got my ass handed to me. So I rune farmed for a long time before I attempted him again. I also went around the castle before beating the first boss and was able to unlock the Roundtable Hold and also got access to other parts of the map.

I haven't gotten into anything for a while. I just bought Dying Light, and my girlfriend bought me Metro: Exodus for xmas. Unfortunately, neither game has got me hooked yet.

I may go back and play Red Dead Redemption II. My son bought it for me a couple years ago, but I got annoyed with the super long cut scenes and quit. Maybe it's time to revisit that one.

I loved RDR2. When my son was born my wife and I would sleep in shifts in case he woke up and needed to be fed. I’d stay up late with him and he’d snooze and I’d put on RDR2. Managed to finish the main story that way.

I spent a lot of late 21/early 22 replaying Skyrim with the newer rerelease, mods available on console, etc. Spent around 200 hours on it I think.
Recently it's been high on life. I get very little time to play anymore, and I tend to take my time on games anyway, so it was not a single weekend phenomenon for me like it was for a lot of folks. I'm a little over halfway through, I think?

Do it. They did a fantastic job. If you liked the OG version, you’ll love this.

I fucking love the dead space series. I'm waiting on solid reports on the steam deck performance though as I'm off to antarctica later this week until the end of March and will only have the deck with me.

Antarctica? That sounds inhospitable - and a perfect setting for a video game.

I downloaded the reissue of Golden Eye for Xbox.... lots of nostalgia, crazy to go back and play these old games that were mind blowing in their day and really see how far gaming has come

I've been playing through The Last of Us, to pair with the show. its been interesting to see the deviations and the places they stuck exactly to the game.

What do you think of the game? I'm not much of a gamer, but I'm tempted to get it when it's available for Xbox. Three episodes in, I really like the show...

Yep  I'm going there on a research cruise in the Weddell sea, so it might pan out that way.

I thought it was pretty great! Its linear, but thats okay. I feel like you are mostly playing it for the story, not necessarily for the "action", but this is my 3rd playthrough so I don't hate it obviously

If you want to play Last of Us, you’ll need a PlayStation, unfortunately. Naughty Dog, the studio that made the game, is owned by Sony, so the game is a PlayStation exclusive.

Probably said Microsoft. They are releasing a PC port of it compatible with Microsoft OS.

I'm sure I read Xbox somewhere, but I can't find the link. Could have just assumed it when I read Microsoft. Looks like the Windows release is March 28th. I prefer PC over console, so may have to give it a go...

Just did a run through of TMNT Shredder’s Revenge with two of my friends. The game is awesome. It supports up to 6 players and can do online and couch co op simultaneously. 7 year old me was screaming inside as this is pretty much TMNT the Arcade Game perfected.
