Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.

Post by Telephant »

Any of you guys a fan of Nick Cave? I bought floor tickets this morning for his Austin City Limits show in July of '14 (gat damn thats a long wait) and I am ridiculously stoked. The lady and I have never seen him live so this will be a real treat for us.

Some of my favorite songs:

My wife fucking loves Nick Cave. She has definitely brought him into my consciousness in a way that he had not been for the first 34 years of my life.
"If there was only a way that I couldn't even any less than I already can't then I'd gladly not, but I think I've entered some quantum paradox, dark matter levels of can't evening where the total absolute value of not evenness exceeds all ability to explain the can'ting." - MR RUBATO

I've noticed he is particularly big with the ladies. :D

You ever seen the movie he wrote, The Proposition? Its a Austrailian Western and a very cool movie IMO. Also his cameo in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford is awesome. He sings the Ballad of Jesse James. Good stuff.

Nick Cave is pretty hit and miss with me. I absolutely adore Murder Ballads. Let Love In and Dig Lazarus Dig are cool if I'm in the right mood, but some of the albums I haven't been able to get into.

Love his music. Nick Cave and Frank Tovey (Fad Gadget) were the heros of my late teenage days.

Never listened to his music (that I recall); but I got that DVD on clearance and I love it. Great, gritty flick that I had no idea he wrote.
