did this tonight, rainbow content

https://soundcloud.com/brad-williamson-4/motsm-cover

so i made a crappy cover of "man on the silver mountain" to test out this new interface and see what i need to teek n whatnot.

as usual, i did everything myself. i'm kinda proud of this one because i've never done any form of mic'd drums before and i've never recorded any keyboard, but both are present in this.

drums
bass
4 rhythm guitars
oragn
lead guitar
vocals

took about 3 hours to do it all and was a helluva time.

in the words of joe bob, 4 stars check it out.

Great song, man. Awesome job on the vox.

thanks. i had to leave out a few high notes i wanted to do, but it's cool. stuck with the gruff voice for it.

i'm especially proud of the keys i did on this. they're not mind blowing at all, but i've never recorded them before so that was really neat. i tried to dial in a jon lord tone one them.

i also feel i should point out that for the solo i used the middle pickup on my strat.

blackmore fans may or may not appreciate that fact.

Honestly, my setup's pretty low-end. The know how has taken me way longer to develop than I want to admit and I'm still learning.
