Voodoo Amps CP-100

sold

This is a very rare HAND-WIRED circuit; this is NOT A MODIFICATION. Below Trace describes the amp…

“CP-100

We designed this to be a very versatile amp that would fit into a wide variety of musical genres. We will be releasing this as a single channel production amp at first with dual channel models to follow in approximately one years time. Prior to the production models are now offering to install the CP circuit into JCM800's (2204/2203/2205/2210 models) until the release of the production models.

The amp comes with the following control features on the front panel
* Master Volume A
* Master Volume B (solo boost)
* Structure Switch: Structure the gain to your own personal tastes (see below)
* Gain/Preamp A: Fine tune the gain per each setting of the Structure switch

* Footswitchable Solo Boost - When you step on the footswitch you switch from Master/Gain A over to Master/Gain B. No need to apply clean boosts, EQ's, sound man, etc. to make your leads louder, you now have full control over your rhythm/lead stage volume.

* EQ: Bass, Mids, Treble, Presence
* Global Control: Sweepable mids (see below)
* Push/Pull Bottom Control: Dial in the perfect amount of bottom end and control how loose or tight you want it to be (see below)

BOTTOM CONTROL:
Bottom end is also a concern for a lot of players. The CP-100 is also capable of putting out a hefty amount of bottom end simply by dialing it in accordingly. The CP series is capable of classic rock style bottom end or if dialed in accordingly will deliver more bottom end than a Mesa Rectifier or 5150 series amp while being tight as well as controlled. Once you've set the Bottom control you can use the EQ's Bass control to fine tune the overall bottom end.

GLOBAL CONTROL:
The best way to describe this control is to think of it as sweepable mids for the entire amp. Each player can dial in the perfect midrange and use the midrange control on the EQ section to fine tune it.

STRUCTURE SWITCH:
One of the features that allows the CP series to be so flexible and versatile is our 3-position "Structure" switch (proprietary to Voodoo Amps). You have 3 positions to choose from which allows each player the ability to control how the gain is structured so that each player can structure the gain to their own personal playing style.

For example; You can get plexi'esq tones and play blues/rock with it by setting the Structure switch to 1st position. The 2nd setting will give you the ability to compete with 90% of all other high gain amps on the market. The 3rd position was designed for the players who demand extremely high gain but have always had to sacrifice the definition and clarity in order to get the amount of gain they wanted. Even better is that you will hear the difference from one guitar to another and the noise floor is extremely low for the amount of gain this amp is capable of delivering.

HARMONICS & SUSTAIN:
This is one of the many areas where the CP also shines. Even at the lowest gain settings (blues/classic rock) the CP has beautiful sustain with very complex harmonics that easy swell into sustaining feedback with ease. Many of the pro players who either have the CP or have demo'ed it are very much in love with the versatility and ease of being able to dial in their own tone (the midrange the like, bottom end they want, top end, gain structure, etc.)

Hope it helps

They are custom Mercurys for Voodoo Amps to Trace's specs and they are pretty huge. Not sure if they are THE huge ones.
