I recently read that a Pignose track was one of the several other guitar tracks that were layered into Elton John's "Saturday Nights Alright For Fighting".
Of course, the Pignose was used in other classic rock recordings made by Clapton, Zappa and Joe Walsh.
Always wanted to try one!!!

Yeah they're cool. I don't think they sound particularly great, but they're a cool thing to have in the gear collection. Most iconic practice amp of all time lol

I'll buy one eventually just to have it in the pedal shelf

I figure it's gotta sound better than one of these...

I haven't played one of these in decades. If I remember right, they always sound like shit in the room, but somehow, with a mic about a foot out, you can get some half-decent rock tones. I'm sure those with actual skills can get better, if the rumors and myths surrounding it are to be believed.

At any rate, should be a lot of fun.

I read that as you bought it for $33, I was starting to pull up the link to buy one as well lol.

I'm planning on leaving it out for a quick blast off whenever time permits.

Ha! If it were only $33 I would have bought two... one Pignose to keep and one to see how many distortion and fuzz pedals it takes to blow up!!!

It actually gets a nice fuzz tone when cranked all the way up, no pedals needed.

It's scheduled to arrive today... oh, boy!!!
