iPotato vid: Lichtlaerm Aesahaettr vs KHKD Paranormal > SLO

Post by Telephant »

My other guitar player brought these over and asked me to test them out. They're both pretty rad. Aesahaettr is really colorless/clean unless you kick the parametric eq side on which I do towards the end (added bass and high mids). Paranormal adds some teeth and makes it sound a little meaner.

SLO master on 1. H90 delay/verb in FX loop.

Both pedals sound great, but I am really interested in the Lichtlaerm Aesahaettr now. The ability to switch the EQ in/out is awesome. That is probably the next boost I will buy.

Have you tried the Friedman Buxom Boost? I used one with the Soldano Avenger I had and it was great with that amp.
Guitars:
'78 Les Paul Pro / '89 SG Special/ '04 Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 pickup / Jackson Star/ Endres Tele / Fernandes Rhoads/ ''74 Hohner MIJ strat/ 2 Partscasters

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

The Aesahaettr also sounds and feels great for leads. It has a real modern metal studio tone vibe to it. Since the Paranormal has the added mid teeth the lead doesn’t sound quite as smooth.

Never tried the Buxom but now I’m curious. I also want to try the Duality DX but they’re impossible to find.
