New JHS pedal kit

Post by rock flag and eagle »

Haha so JHS made a klon kit ikea style complete with goop, all solderless build and even the pcb breaks apart for the tools to use to put it together . I’d buy one

Just watched the vid. I think that I am in on this. I have sold every klone that I have bought, but this looks like fun.

 and as expected, all 3000 kits from the first batch sold in half a day, they're now taking pre-sale orders for the next run.

I guess I'm in the minority not being interested in this.... I love kits, but I want to actually build it, not just assemble a pedal.... and then at the end of it, it's just another Klone.... kinda meh IMO

Love the gimmick

If the soul food is at all representative of what most Klones sound like tho, I'm not interested :idk:

Dang, the marketing is brilliant! Looks like so much fun!

But this is how I convinced myself out of it: I'd rather put more money and effort in assembling a pedal I actually want and would use. I predict the fun I would have with this pedal will end soon after I assemble it, and it does not look like it will take that much time to put it together

Brilliant marketing, f'sure.

Yeah it wouldn't take long to "build" one of these, I think a youtuber assembled his in 5 minutes. I just like the gimmick of it and because the only klon clone I have is one i built from a wish kit and it's very noisy.

I want one, I have no reason to ever build a pedal, but assembling one and customizing it seems pretty fun.
Some guys like a challenge. Not me.
