Griffin Super Drive/E906 mic test

Got a Griffin Super Drive (SD-1 with quality components) and a Sennheiser E906 do doing some clips. chain is ESP EC-256>Griffin Super Drive>Blankenship Masterplex>1960BX>E906 mic>BAE DMP pre > pro tools bone dry, no eq. what you guys think? clip starts with no pedal then you can see when I turn it on.

I prefer the tone of the amp without it, to be honest. The pedal sounded a bit congested in the midrange and took the bite out of the amp, even with the added gain. I tend to like pedals that add bite like the SD-1 or Klones.
Not saying it's a bad pedal, just not my thing. Playing is killer as usual though :)

oh man that’s me on the mids, I always go for that tone lol I had the tone knob on the pedal just below 1/4 up. I had a long way I coulda brought it up.

I actually thought the pedal made it sound like early Mastodon. I dig it! But the core amp tone is amazing too!

yeah, it's personal preference. I am sure the pedal is great.
