Stupid deal of the day has sonic blue ones for $649, I don’t have a proper strat in the stable, what’s the word on these?

I think the only difference is the pickups, I think they're a little hotter than the ones in regular players strat.

They're great guitars IMHO. Yeah the pickups are hotter than the stock Fender pickups but they sound great. I've used Tex-Mex pickups on strat builds before with great results.
Guitars:
'78 Les Paul Pro / '89 SG Special/ '04 Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 pickup / Jackson Star/ Endres Tele / Fernandes Rhoads/ ''74 Hohner MIJ strat/ 2 Partscasters

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

my American Special Tele had the Tex Mex pickups in it and they sounded pretty good..... good enough that I had no desire to change them at least

Solid guitar and solid pickups. I’d have zero issue getting a MIM Strat like that for that cost.

  well, my thing to do when i get an iconic piece of gear like my les paul or iic+ is to just wait and take a day off from work and have a welcoming party, ill get my whisky and weed, move a bunch of amps and cabs into my living room and just get nice and jam all day. ive never really played a proper strat so this will be tons of fun, gives me reason to try all these fuzzes i have here that i dont play much as well.
