Quick review of the new SBS Steve Brown Sound guitar

Post by mystixboi »

Here is a quick review of this new SBS guitar. First off, after a string change, quick fret polish, neck adjustment and bridge height adjustment, this is a killer guitar for the price! I wasn't a fan of the strings that came with the guitar so I had to get rid of them. Also, the neck felt wet... it's weird. I don't know why, but it felt like there was a funky film on it. No idea. I hit it with some 0000 steel wool and it smoothed it right out.

Here are some pics and a quick clip. I might need to raise the pickups a bit and mess with the action as the guitar was fighting me a little in this clip. Please disregard the pajama pants and sloppy playing.

Fun guitar for sure!!!

Your playing and pajama pants both kicked ass on this clip. Is that neck "roasted" cuz it looks beautiful?

That's a great looking guitar. I wasn't aware of it. GFS makes some cool stuff for the money.

Great playing too!!!!

I am going to check them out. Might pick one up eventually.

Some ambiguous wording on their website:

Solid Flamed Maple with "Roasted" finish

I think it's a stain to make it look roasted or they would just say roasted maple neck. Whatever it is, it looks good.
