I just got one of those Epi 335s myself...... solid guitar, played nice out the box but after getting a set up done its on another level...... I did swap out the bridge pickup for a Duncan Seth Lover and upgraded the bridge to a Tone Pros.... the neck pickup was pretty good and hangs with the duncan just fine

It does play nice right out of the box but I'm planning on getting a set up done. I think I want to try it with a set of 9's on it first and see what it's like with those. I might even have them replace the nut and bring the action down a hair. it's good now but I think that would make it killer.

it's supposed to be a graph tech nut, so unless you want a bone or different material you just need to have the slots filled down to get the first fret action dialed in which was the main thing my tech did to mine to get it playing right, after that it was just a minor tweak on the truss rod and adjust the action to suit... we were able to get the action very low, so low I actually raised it which is honestly a first for me lol
