did you get it shipped from japan?? i remember reading a story probably 20 years ago about someone that had a guitar held at customs from japan or something and ive had a probably silly hang up since buying from there. i really may need this though

That seller Ishibshi Music is legit man... I never ordered online from them but did buy a Orville LPC from one of their shops in Japan for only $500 when visiting. Their thing is mainly used instruments and in japan some japanese frown on used gear and are not into local japanese brands, they rather have shit from other countries lol. So you can get better deals on japanese brands typically. Also for long while there was a ban on shipping items with particular types of wood out of japan internationally such as ebony or rosewood etc but not anymore I think. I think it was lifted after covid or something. But they have a lot of stores all over the place so their online inventory can pull from any of them.
I have bought from Ishibashi several times. They are amazing! The detail to packing the instrument, and the speed of delivery is incredible! I wouldn't hesitate in the slightest to buy from them again, or to recommend them.
I am happy to have another person buy a Japanese Yamaha, and love it. I can't get over just how awesome my Japanese Yamaha guitars are. I imagine the SF1000 plays just as nice as my collection.

Yeah I got it from an eBay seller called “Larks Trading”
It was the common Japanese practice, where a bunch of distributors all listed, the same guitar that was for sale locally and then once the item sold online, they would take the money from that sell and buy it locally.
When the seller told me that he had to wait for a local auction to end on it, I insisted that he sent it international priority. It took two days to arrive.
