Fender expands CuNiFe line?

Post by spawnofthesith »

I was doing my weekly scan of new arrivals on Wildwoods website and saw that CuNiFe strat and jazzmaster sets were available... did a double take as I thought that was just the WRHB thing, looks like they're letting that magnet type escape from the lab though

I wonder how the strat set sounds. Happy with the v-mods in my am pro II, but I'm now having impure thougts :hmm:

Our site is evil... I too was wondering what they sound like
If we get anything in with these installed I'll be on my way to play them.

I bet, especially a shop of WW's caliber ;)

I guess I better hunt down some clips. I'm curious if the strat set retain's the "stratty" character or if it sounds completely different

I'm interested in these pickups, but the name reminds me of the Poop Knife story.

Interview with Tim Shaw about them and some sound clips if you're interested.

Cool vid from Andertons. Liked what I heard in the Strat. And they have a FeCrCo alloy for the Tele. Jazzmaster has both CuNiFe WRHB style and FeCrCo bridge and CuNiFe neck singles also for the Jazzmaster. That Strat set could be awesome in a project guitar… :hmm:
