Today is Day-3.

So far, so good, despite temptation.

I hope to make it a long, long ways this year.
Not that I won't be spending. But I feel like it's going to be the year of maintenance, rather than acquisition. After treating one Les Paul to a new bridge, I've noticed how badly beat my late 90s studio's bridge is beat up, and I need to do something about it.
I've had my black star HT dual well over a decade, and it needs a little TLC. Yes, I'm going to spend what the stupid pedal is worth to get it serviced.
I need to finally upgrade the speaker in my Peavey Bravo - stupid blue marvel is the only thing holding this amp back.
It's also time to have a pro re-setup several guitars, save them from the constant tweaks I've made to intonation and string height in my quest for perfection, which I'll never achieve on my own.
I've got an Epiphone SG that has a lot of sentimental value because it hit the road with me 16 years ago, and all that sweating trashed the hardware. Plus it and my Kramer both have a coil tap, and what I really wanted was coil split.
Multiple guitars need a new nut as well. Not badly, but again...little details just bug the piss out of me and I just KNOW I'm getting buzz or loss of sustain from worn out nuts.
ugh. If only I could just be content, lol

Doing good as well - placed my last order on New Year's Eve :-)

There is some preordered stuff from last year open. Still waiting for the EHX Mig-50 and a One Control Honey Bee custom pedal to arrive.

Got no plans for anything this year aside from new headphones; my ATH-M50Xs are scuffed as fuck and I want to try the BD DT770s.

We need some kind of reverse Brewster's millions for Billy, where he's not allowed to buy, sell or trade any gear for a whole year. If successful he gets a million dollar Sweetwater gift card

I'm down

I actually don't have any major purchases planned for this year.

The only thing I'm planning to but that may take a considerable amount of money is a 18" active subwoofer for my PA.

Other than that, everything I'm planning to get are cheaper stuff (under 500) like pedals, synergy modules and maybe a few pickups speakers, that kind of stuff.

For guitars, I think I'm pretty well set with my current collection. I may actually sell a couple.
Not saying won't buy any guitars but at the moment there's nothing I'm looking at.

Amps, I'm super happy with the Runts. The only thing I'm possibly considering is the Synergy head. But I don't know if it would be worth it since I don't need a lot of different tones live. But I feel like this is one of those things that will bug me until I try it out.

I will buy a new Gibson this year. No date set yet but that will be my only purchase this year because I don’t need anything.

Does it count if I ordered in before the first, but out of stock so I haven't paid yet

If not I should be good, selling off a bunch of things and only planned thing is a fret dressing on one guitar

I bought a couple saddle files but that’s not really gear. I just bought my pedal power supply BUT I’m strongly considering a J Rockett Dude.

I haven't purchased any gear since 2020. I'm like the monk on the hill whacking himself in the testicles for penance or something.

No plans to buy anything, either. Only thing I MIGHT think about is a mid-priced decent acoustic, but not about to go through the process of trying to find one for A) the price I want, with B) the sound profile I'd prefer.

I think I'm at a point where I am done adding gear to my pile of stuff I don't play  . Problem is, my son started playing about 5-6 months ago and that's a whole new set of problems. He already has 1 amp and 2 guitars here at home (along with a POD he can jam with using headphones at night), plus a guitar and an amp he keeps at his grandparent's house (they insisted believe it or not). He's already wanting a couple other guitars, and it's hard for me to not give in right now. However, I've already discussed with him that the gear comes as a reward for continued good behavior and progress with learning the guitar.

Of course I'm typing this immediately after posting a WTB in the classifieds section :bang:

I'm at the point where I have very little time to play, so it doesn't make sense to add anything unless it's a bucket list item. I don't have a proper Les Paul and I've always wanted an ES-335. If the right one of either comes along, I'll buy. Otherwise, I'm set with what I have...

This too. I barely play any more. It's been forever since I last picked up my Gibson
