Ugh! Someone wants to buy my Lado Lazer.

Post by ZEEGLER »

I've owned this guitar for 18 years. it was custom built for John Albani who was the guitar player for Lee Aaron and also her song writing partner. I lusted after the guitar from the moment I saw it in one of her music videos. It was toured extensively by him, and is pretty beat up, and re-fretted at least once. Anyway, I was contacted by the previous owner asking me if I had any interest in selling it back to him. I told him that if I did, that the price would be high enough to reflect my attachment to it. I told him I couldn't even consider letting it go for less than $3500 Canadian. He tells me that he will pay that if I am willing to let it go. Meanwhile, another guy gets ahold of me, tells me that the first guy is buying the guitar from me to resell to him. Then asks me to sell it to him instead and cut out the middle man. He shows me screenshots of some texts to prove to me that this is the case. It's a decent chunk of cash, but the thought of selling it makes me feel sick.

What do?

I may just tell both of them to get fucked!

If you're attached to it don't do it unless you need money.

I regret selling my first Gibson Explorer and more recently, that USA Soloist I had. It's not a good feeling.

If the thought of selling makes you feel sick, then don't sell. Unless you need the dough, of course.

Those guys seem shady. I usually steer clear of shady deals.

No. Don’t sell. If you don’t need the cash then don’t sell. They can eat a bag of dicks each.

Clearly dude 1 was going to sell to dude 2 for more than $3500. I would offer to sell it to the first dude who comes up with $5000.

I hate this guitar, but you would regret selling this for the rest of your life.

I sold my 1999 LTD V-200 in 2006 when I bought some dumbass Ibanez SZ. Regretted that ever since. That guitar had SO MUCH sentimental value. The first guitar I ever really lusted after. The first guitar I busted my ass all summer and saved and bought for myself without my parents chipping in. Yeah...ruhgrets.

Let them each eat bags of each others dicks.

Yea I ended up buying 2 Lado Earth 2005s instead. Keep your green lazer, it looks like a blast to play and I can understand the sentimental value it brings to you. Unfortunately, I don't have that same sentiment as you so I could only look at it for face value. Lados are awesome though. Most of these people on this forum though will tell you to keep a Chinese jackson dinky though. Be in control of your own judgment! Cheers
