FS: Charvel SoCal Pickguard Made by Chandler

Hello everyone,

For your consideration is a pickguard cut by Chandler Music/Pickguard planet for a Charvel So Cal. It's white pearl, HSS with the H being cut for a covered humbucker (most HSS are cut for uncovered and don't allow rom for covers). Traditional Strat control layout. Cut for the 2 1/4" neck pocket with cut for trussrod spoke wheel. Floyd rose routing for bridge. You're thinking "gee, mutah, weren't you going to use this on your own build?" Read on.

The reason I'm selling this guard is because I didn't check the fit 100% when I got it. It's HSS but the middle pickup is moved halfway between the bottom of the neck humbucker and top of the bridge humbucker. In most HSS routes the middle pickup is normally closer to the bridge pickup. This presents a problem as most Charvels are HSH routed and not universal/swimming pool routed. This means the location for the middle pickup on the guard is blocked by the routing of the body. It's about 1/4" to 1/3" above where the middle pickup sits. This can be solved by routing the body further (if you're handy with a router/grinder or have a luthier this is easy enough to do) and making it closer to a swimming pool route. I was not willing to do this not so much for structural purposes but moreso for impacts to the tone/sound of the middle strat pickup (which I actually do use on its own). I had removed the clear covering so returning it is not an option.
