WTTF: P Bass Pickup

Post by MikeO »

I picked up a Jackson JS1M bass (Concert Series, maple neck/fingerboard, one PJ pickup) for a song, a dance and a hand job. Plays amazing once I gave it a proper setup, and although I like the pickup that is in it now, I know that I'm going to want to try something else at some point. Would love to get my hands on a Duncan Steve Harris, but I'm open to other pickups, as long as they are chock full of P Bassy goodness.

Got plenty of stuff to swap, let me know what you've got and what you can use.
Amps: 5150 (w/bias mod), 5150 II, PRS MT-15, FJA PV XXX, Framus Dragon, FJA PV Penta, PV Rockmaster-->Marshall 9100, PV Ultra 120
Cabs: 3 Marshall 1960B, Laney GH412, Avatar 2x15, PV XXX 4x12, Bogner OS 2x12.

the Harris is a fantastic pickup it’s basically a slightly hotter SPB1 which Steve used for years. They are very very close cousins. That was until I discovered the Duncan 60’s pride. Which is deadnuts on circa 63/65. You could not go wrong on any of those imo.
