2013 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro II - No longer for sale

Post by GuitarBilly »

Selling this one to help pay for my new 78. This guitar has a very rare Inverness Green finish that was only offered for this model in small quantities and only in 2013. They also offered a few of the Studio HP models in 2017 in this color as well.
It's a very cool finish and it gets a lot of comments from fellow players, many think it's a Custom Shop finish because they never saw it before. I think the best way to describe it would be to say it's the "green version of Pelham Blue".

This guitar was one of my main live guitars so it's far from mint condition, there are small dings from regular use but nothing major and NO BREAKS of any kind. The action is nice and low, frets are in great shape and the guitar plays and looks great. The neck is the 50s profile neck, which is a bit on the thick side, but extremely comfortable and easy to play. I found that these thicker necks are actually easier on my hands on long gigs or sessions.
It's currently setup with 10-46 strings in E standard tuning.

For the electronics, I removed the stock push-pull PCB non-sense and wired with 50s style wiring, with carefully selected bumblebee caps, Emerson pots for the tone controls and neck volume and a Bourns pot for the bridge volume (I preferred the Bourns taper for the bridge).

Pickups are a set of Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers.

Finally, I replaced the stock tuners with Gotoh Magnum top locking tuners, which combine the vintage look with locking tuner stability.

This guitar comes with a Gibson original hardshell case, paperwork and truss rod wrench.

Decided to keep it - no longer for sale.

Keeping the thread for the cool pics :)
