Is there anywhere that I can find a good list of components to have on hand? I've begun modding my JCA22H, but it would be cool to have plenty of parts on hand. Since I can't just drive down to the local Radio Shack anymore, it's not very convenient to order parts online, as I need them. Especially when they want to charge $8 to ship 2 or 3 50 cent parts.
Or, could anyone provide a decent list of components that are always useful to have?

Edit: You might notice a pattern here in the values. Other values are available (and necessary), but for experimenting, you can get the other values (or close enough) by putting these in series or parallel. For instance, there is no 680Ω resistor in the list (common for preamp cathodes). But, 1k and 2k2 in parallel is 687.5Ω. Likewise there is no 1k5. Put 1k and 470Ω in series and get 1k47.
Here’s a “back of the envelope” short list of resistor values that will get you rolling:
100
220
470
1k
2k2
4k7
10k
22k
47k
100k
220k
470k
1MEG
2M2
Get about a dozen of each of those in Vishay’s Pr01 or Pr02 package and you can experiment safely in almost any preamp position and have a decent noise floor. They’re 1 and 2 watts and ( if I remember correctly ) 350V and 500V limited. So ok in later power stages, but don’t use them right up front on the B+ rails.
edit: add capacitor info.
Capacitors are trickier because of the differences of values, differences between type, and the wide array of voltage ratings available.
Ceramics - usually only in treble cap positions and snubbers; Vishay/Cera-Mite 561R series 1000V
Micas - often used in place of ceramic in tone stacks; Cornell Dubilier CD10, CD15, or CD19 series 500V
10p
20p
47p
100p
220p
470p
Film - bass and mid caps in tone stack, inter-stage coupling caps; Mallory 150 Series 630V or Vishay/Sprague Orange Drops 715P series 600V
1n
2n2
4n7
10n
22n
47n
100n
anything over 25V <- not a typo; use these for bypass caps instead of electrolytics below:
220n*
470n*
1µ*
2µ2*
Electrolytic - cathode bypass caps; 25-100V
1µ
47µ
100µ
Anything larger isn't really having much effect, but you'll still see 250µ or 330µ. 47µ sets the rolloff at 5Hz, 100µ:2Hz, 250µ:0.9Hz, 330µ:0.7Hz. Your guitar just doesn't get that low to bother with much bigger than 47µ. A case can be made for bigger, but for just messing around with values, it's not worth keeping on hand.
Rectifier Diodes - used in the power supply, but you can also use them in place of bias resistors in preamps
The cheapest 1N4007's you can find. Buy 100 of them and you can sometimes find them for <1 cent each.
UF4007 - like a low noise version of 1N4007's
LEDs - can also be used in place of bias resistors, but resultant bypass voltages aren't standardized or usually given on the data sheet. You just have to get lots of colors/values and experiment.

Re: Good list of components for modding amps?
I dont remember where I got mine, but I bought like 100 resistors of like 50 different values. They were like $4 for 100. I bought less of capacitors since they were more expensive.
