Re: Wanted: 18v power supply
I've had good luck with a laptop power supply (many are 19.2V), to which I soldered the correct connector.
Before I hooked mine up, I checked with MXR (Dunlop), and they gave me the OK - here's a copy of my correspondence with them:

Subject: MXR 108 power supply
Hi - I'm setting up an MXR 108 on a pedalboard - I've got a 19.2 volt computer (laptop) power supply that will fit much better than the supplied unit, and am wondering if the 108 will operate okay at that voltage.
Thank you

Hey Steve
The M108 should be able to handle the 19.2v. You just need to make sure that the power supply has the correct positive barrel negative center polarity.
Thanks

Re: Wanted: 18v power supply
Wrong in what way? If it's the connector, it's fairly straightforward to solder another one on (minding the polarity), as long as you've got any experience with a soldering iron.
