Mesa/Boogie Recto 4x12 cab w/cover

Post by benjamin801 »

For sale or trade is my Mesa/Boogie Rectifier 4x12 speaker cabinet. This is the Recto Traditional (i.e., normal size, not the oversized "Recto Standard").

Other than coming with me to gigs, the cab has spent its entire life in either my climate-controlled, smoke free home, or my climate controlled, smoke-free rehearsal space. It's in perfect working order with its original quartet of nicely played-in Celestion Vintage 30s. It's in excellent cosmetic shape - a few very tiny dings in the tolex, and the grill cloth is perfect, thanks in large part to the Mesa slipcover which is included as well. I took a close-up picture of the only actual scrape in the tolex, and even that one is on the back edge, not visible from the front. A solid dozen of the board members have heard, seen, and played through this cab, and BleedingWhiskey has endured its manliness on a weekly basis for over a year now. It's a great cab.

I've posted it locally for $600 OBO - that's basically half of what you would pay for one new *without* a cover. Obviously GABros would get my no-haggle best price of $500. The only trades I would consider would be for quality 1x12 or 2x12 cabs, maybe plus cash on your end, but even there I'd probably say no. (Tryna downsize here, people.)

I live in the Houston area and would be happy to deliver within the area or meet within a couple hours' drive (i.e. most of TX, some of LA). If it doesn't sell locally, I'd be willing to look into shipping on your dime, but I can't imagine why you would want that. Don't they have nice used Recto cabs where you live, loser?
