Any of you guys ever play a Thinline Tele?

Are these things feedback machines? I love the idea of a lightweight, hollow Tele...but not if its a noise maker. I like to play with a fairly aggressive tone, along the lines of jcm 800 amount of gain. BTW, I'm talking about the single coil, traditional bridge Thinline.

Yeah, it will feedback quite a bit more than the solid body tele. You'd probably have to use something like a decimator to keep things under control. Or just embrace the feedback and go crazy with it.
Guitars:
'78 Les Paul Pro / '89 SG Special/ '04 Gibson Les Paul Classic 3 pickup / Jackson Star/ Endres Tele / Fernandes Rhoads/ ''74 Hohner MIJ strat/ 2 Partscasters

Amps:
Depends on when you ask. I got tired of constantly updating this section lol

Cabs
Marshall 1960A w V30s/ Seismic 2x12 w Redback and V30.

Is my ja90 considered a thinline? Semi hollow tele w p90s. Def not my most quiet guitar but its a rock n roll machine. Just crank it up and have fun.

I like some feedback...if its controllable.

i just gotta have something light and the only guitars I feel really comfortable with are Les Pauls and Teles. Those Thinlines are awfully light. Maybe I could make it work.

I competely forgot about those p-90 Teles. Something like that might work for me.

If it feeds back roll the guitar volume off a little. Same volume, less compressed. I enjoyed the sound of mine but not how it felt - buy with care.

my Midtown is constructed the same way as a Thinline Tele and I haven't had any feedback issues unless I was playing with lots of gain and even then it's pretty controllable.

Yeah from what I remember it was a good guitar for controlled feedback. Always nicer when the guitar body and strings feed back before the pickups do haha.
