I have a guitar I am wanting to rewire. It has pickup selector, volume for each pickup and a tone control. I want just the pickup selector and one volume. I know supposedly removing the tone control makes for a brighter guitar. It is a light weight flying v, so I will probably just leave the tone control wired and stuff it down in the control cavity. Can I solder the wires from the neck pickup volume control to their respective positions on the bridge pickup volume control and call it a day? Or do I need to get a different value pot for the single volume control? Thanks in advance.
I am redoing a guitar for my cover band to be more visually appealing. I never use the tone knob and a separate volume serves no purpose for me. I do, however, switch to the neck pickup for solos and other bits; so it stays. I sent away for a custom pickguard and I am twiddling my thumbs basically till it gets here. If I can get this part sorted while I wait for the shipment to arrive, I will be one step closer to my goal
