5150 mini volume jump question

Post by rleechb »

So I just ordered one of these amps (at the perfect time too, since the combo I was using for practice just died last night). Anyways, has anyone addressed the volume jump issue? I posted about this on TGP, but they weren't of much use.

Anyways, I'm looking to do channel switching via a midi mouse, and address the volume jump issue by having an eq pedal in the effects loop. Any idea if this would work? If assuming I'd have to have the effects loop bypass turned on for channels 2/3, but I'm not sure how that can be achieved with a single stomp?

:idk:

Unfortunately the only way to control the effects loop via MIDI is if you have a foot controller like a Ground Control Pro that sends CC/IA messages... I thoroughly researched this and ended up calling the manufacturer... I used a MIDI Moose with mine... you cannot switch the FX loop on and off with the controller you will be using...

Crap. I was looking for a less expensive solution.

I suppose I could put an eq pedal in the loop, and just practice double stomping with the stock foot controller (turn on/off the loop and channel switch) in the meantime....?
