I used to play in Eb standard all the time, but I got in a creative funk and to try something different I went to C# standard and have been really diggin it lately.
That and I finally found a use for all of my 11-49 sets

Eb Standard. Honestly kinda wanna switch to D standard but I think it'd be a hard sell to my band. I sing and have a weak range so lower is better.

I always liked D standard... that extra half step makes a big difference IMO...

Always standard, but will play in Eb, I love the way guitars feel in Eb.
Some guys like a challenge. Not me.

Eb is what I normally write my music in, followed by C# and C standard.

Both E flat standard, and Drop-D Flat. Nothing feels as good to me as 10-52 gauge strings, 25 1/2" scale, tuned to Eb. The string tension is just perfect.

I don't really care, it's fun switching around once in a while. The current band has songs in C, B and A std. Old band had songs in GCGCFAD and FCGCFAD. And E std. Depends entirely on the mood of the song which works best.

I do enjoy E standard and D standard. But I like a lot of different tunings. B standard for doomy stuff.

I honestly think tuning lower is not the answer to a weak range.

Eb standard/Drop Ab on a 7-string would be my favorite. But with the band I have to settle for my second favorite of C# standard/Drop F#.

Just dropped my Les Paul to Eb standard. I forgot how good it feels and sounds. It's like unlocking the strings and harmonics.

You keep your tuning up higher it forces you to sing at a lower register thats more comfortable. If you drop your tuning your still straining on the high end cause you will be singing close to the same area you were before with only like an extra half step or so of room.

My favorite is Eb std and dropping down to drop C#, but we're in drop C and it's not too bad, and up to D std for a few tunes. Eb/C# though I can still use off the shelf strings and like the tension/feel.

If I had more guitars, which I will eventually, I'll probably use different tunings for the band because I've been experimenting with a few, but my main tuning has been for like a decade+ Drop C.
