New clip: 8-string stuff...

Post by jgreenwd »

....but not what you're expecting:

https://soundcloud.com/jgreenwd/the-well-tempered-clavier-fugue-1

Fugue #1 from Bach's Well Tempered Clavier played on one of my DC800's.

Carvin DC800 direct into RME Fireface 400 using Frohmage & IKMultimedia CSR plugins with 7DeadlySins Mesa Studio 1x12 cab impulse.

I'm still not excited about the tone. If my acoustic 8 wasn't at work, I would have just recorded it on that. It was kinda fun to run the sounds
through some of the extreme patches in AmpliTube. I was surprised how well it translated.

Thanks for listening!

Dunno how I missed this until now, but just wanted to say this killer and should have gotten more response.

I love this type of playing and wish I was better at it myself. Great job, dude.

Very nice!
Was that two separate tracks, or did you play it in one shot?

Yeah, it's a little less impressive playing each line independently. But, that let me crank it out in an hour instead of 4 or 5,
