Yamaha RGX1212S that came with original case! I love GC used!!!
The light is reflecting strangely; the finish only has a couple of nicks in it.
Mystery pickup in the bridge, missing control cavity cover, rust on almost every metal surface but in surprisingly great shape. TBH I got it super cheap and was planning to clean it up and flip it. However, the Yamaholic in me might not let it. Guess I had better sell something else...
Way back in my college days, a classmate was selling a black version of that, only it had one DPDT switch. I passed it on an ex-bandmate, as he had the money and I didn't.

I'd be so lost with a floyd and three little switches, plus 3 knobs AND a 5 way switch......
GC used is awesome. I have to restrain myself from going broke on it.
I do usually feel bad for the poor suckers who sold stuff for next to nothing so I can buy it for cheap. But their loss, my gain.
That's not really always the case. The trade-in route can work out pretty well, and I actually got a decent price for my twin reverb from them. Maybe not quite what I'd had gotten by selling it outright, but the lack of having to worry about shipping and ebay shenanigans was worth the few bucks I didn't make.
Interesting set of controls there. What do the switches do?

Yeah, you better, coz this one may end up being a keeper!

Actually, I am with you on this. I so conflicted about this guitar! I hate locking trems but this has the best one Yamaha ever made. I'm not a shredder but the neck feels amazing. Plus it is pretty silly that I have 4 electrics now. I will probably put a couple up for sale (maybe even this one) and see which one goes first.

No clips until I get it fixed up. I actually have a Yamaha bridge hummie to stick in there and get it back closer to spec. My plan is to put up my partsocaster, AES720, and this for sale to which goes first.
OK, Jack Daniels and I did some work on it tonight: replaced the bridge with a GFS Dream 180, rewired for coil tap (like original), cleaned the mung off the bridge, replaced the rusted screws. Dang. This thing is pretty awesome! Feels effortless to play. I have a Dimarzio Fred inbound and that should make it sound even better.
Say, Yarbicus, what does that Dream180 sound like? I was thinking of snagging it from you, but glad you found a use for it.
Would a Strat style guitar with that in the Bridge and maybe a P90 style or vintage style HB in the neck make a good combo? *Knows jack about pickups and pairings and whatnot.*

Those thin Yamaha necks are so nice! I love, love, love the necks on my Pacificas!!!
I can't wait to see her all polished up!

And now you know why you are getting a heck of a deal on a clean AES720!
I appreciate a good deal!
I would love to see your 1212 in action! You got a top tier guitar there! I would love to try some of their 12xx and 14xx model Pacifica models. They look stunning, just like that 1212!
