Tell me what's so special about the EVH Wolfgang pickups?

I'm just wondering what everyone thinks of them. And why they are so expensive? Is it just because of the name, or are they really that good and unique?

They came stock in my EVH Wolfgang. I love the neck pup. The bridge is nice too. Very full and balanced sounding. That being said, I still prefer the L500 in my N4's.
