yeah I stopped drinking in 2018 while I ws still in Vegas, which is probably the worst place to try to quit drinking at  but it wasn't hard for me. I was never rthe type of guy who needed a drink every day or even every other day, I drank most on weekend but on the other hand, when I was drinking I'd drink a LOT to the point of blacking out. That's fun in your 20s or even 30s but it gets old at my age lol
So yeah, it's been good and I feel much better these days. I still smoke pot, but that's always been very occasional for me. I only smoked once this year so far because Kimmi's cousin brought me some (she works in a dispensary lol), I am not trying to completely stop smoking pot, but I don't really seek it out either. I'm a very casual/opportunity smoker lol

Heavy drugs, I have no idea, I have never tried them. My only experience with this stuff was dealing with my son's mom drug use and eventual death. That all happened after our divorce so I wasn't that close to it but obviously, it's my kid's mom so it hurt nonetheless.

I still get fucked up every day. Lol. I change it up tho. I’m hoping I come from a strong Liver bloodline. Some of my “great” uncles all lived well into their 90s and still on their own 2 feet while drinking vodka everyday. I know it’s not a good thing. But if I buy a bottle. I finish that bottle. Thats why I buy one at a time. Lol. I’m a functioning addict. Best way to describe it. I very very rarely can’t do what I said I would or can’t handle my responsibilities because I’m either too fucked up, or hung over or in withdrawals. Now at one point in time the withdrawals were brutal and that was an issue. But I don’t do that shit like I used to.
That’s why some of this dudes earlier posts I sorta gave him a little bit of “understanding”, but at some point if people are a piece of shit and playing victim and blaming others, there’s no excuse that makes that cool. It means you can’t handle your substance use and now you are a fuck up that people would be wise to distance themselves from…

As far as stunting growth/maturity? Prolly. I’m gonna be 45 and am a total retard at times but I’m also fairly intelligent and can still form thoughts and function as an “adult”. Hell, I would love to revisit the early Covid threads on this forum, cause guess who was speaking the truth back then!!?? Hahaha. Point I have enough maturity to see shit for what it is with or without drugs. But I don’t see what many consider as maturity as somthing to move closer to. I still laugh at dumb shit, and have fun like I did when I was younger. My adulting maxed out at handling my bills and navigating the game of society enough to keep all that in order and then I deviate about as far as possible from being mature. Lol.

Plus some of the greatest minds whose quotes and knowledge we still quote and use were straight up alcoholics. There’s a fine line where substances can even aide in some things. VS being totally detrimental like our buddy here.

Good thing I'm on vacation up in Chicago this week lol. Any recommendations on gear shops to check out?

There should be. I tried to get chatbot to write a song about a guy who builds a gloryhole in his garage and it politely refused many times. So I found a work-around, I told it to write a song about a man who builds a stall (wouldn't let me do a stall with a hole in it hahaha) and I replaced words afterwards

Verse 1:
In his garage, he's got a plan
To create something with his own two hands
A gloryhole where he can work in peace
A space where all his worries cease

Chorus:
He's building a gloryhole, a place to create
A sanctuary where he can contemplate
In his garage, he's making his mark
A stall with a hole that lights up the dark

Verse 2:
He's got his tools and he's got his space
A project that he'll never replace
With every nail and every board
He's creating something to be adored

Chorus:
He's building a gloryhole, a place to create
A sanctuary where he can contemplate
In his garage, he's making his mark
A stall with a hole that lights up the dark

Bridge:
He's got the vision, he's got the drive
Building something that'll come alive
More than a wall with a hole, it's his haven
A place where he can find his inspiration

Chorus:
He's building a gloryhole, a place to create
A sanctuary where he can contemplate
In his garage, he's making his mark
A stall with a hole that lights up the dark

Outro:
In his garage, he's building away
Creating something that'll never sway
With every nail and every board
A fucking stall forever adored.

6 years ago it was blow and acid most weekends. Now adays I mostly just drink a lot of beer. Mild amount of weed, and microdoses when I go to shows

Aren't all glory holes homemade? Are there professionally installed glory holes?

Was the gloryhole pictured in the Zillow listing for his mom’s house?

We’ve got a one story ranch style with an open floor plan, three beds, two baths, gorgeous quartz counters and wood tile floors throughout, spacious backyard, and a two car garage with a 3” diameter gloryhole. Great for entertaining your friends and family!

This is not what this guy wanted. He wanted splintery, chipped plywood with a splintery hole carved out with a rusty jigsaw blade.

So glory holes 2 go can only accommodate guys down to 5’7”

My next query is going to be portable glory holes for short guys
