its funny-- i hear people say it's not really intuitive, but compared to a console and patch bay.. man ALL digital seems so counterintuitive to me

gotta use what works, for sure. i love reaper-- but it's really all i've used, so idiosyncrasies and all, i just use it 'cause it's there and i don't wanna change up :D christ, it took me this long to figure it out... starting over'd be horrible.

punch ins are super easy on reaper though-- check this: it's just a time select, and put it in punchin mode, and it only records over the selected area!

Yeah I know how to do it but it's easier on Sonar.. at least for me it is :idk:

I guess it's just what I am used to after all. I will buy Sonar X3 studio this Friday. I don't think I need the full producer edition.

Stick with Reaper man the product just rocks. Skin it with the Pro Tools skin and never look back. The Kenny G tuts are awesome and once you get a workflow you like you will truly be happy. I have used and still use many different DAW's and for me Reaper is the shit.

On a side note have you every tried Fruity Loops? It's not just for electronic music and can be real simple to use. Just saying.
