Welp... I'm in trouble... found out a couple of weeks ago that many (most?) spirits are compatible with the Keto-ish diet I'm on. Holey fucking hell, batman.
I'm making "diet" Irish Mules in the GRIMESHOP - Costco Irish Whiskey (delicious!!!), Bundaberg diet ginger beer (also delicious!!!), and a few splashes of lime juice. Good shit, man, and all I gotta do is watch the calories.

Doing a Keto-ish thing myself; nutritionist is a good buddy of mine, knows what I’m like. Long as I watch the carbs during the day he’s plotted at least 5-6 beers a night 3-4 nights a week just in case.
Liquor is almost nothing at all on this plan, but the fuckin hangovers man…daaaaaaaamn. First time I drank decently heavily was about 3 weeks after starting this, and that shit was next level. Pretty much just wanted to die, and haven’t touched it since. Pretty good cure lol

In preparation for dry January my wife drunkenly purchased non-alcoholic gin
So I sipped a non alcoholic gin and tonic last night. I find I miss the habit of making a drink on a Friday night more than I miss alcohol so it really scratched the itch.
It tastes more like tea than gin but it was still really nice

I have been hunting for Peat Monster for years at this point and still haven't found it. There's one place in town that will special order it for me, but I hate special ordering alcohol. Too bad South Dakota is still stuck with no-shipping policies on alcohol.

Wee Beastie is now a staple in my cabinet. The place out by work stocks it so I grab a bottle anytime my current one at home is low.

Compass Box Peat Monster is excellent shit. We have a bottle of it at our house.
Also have to agree on Wee Beastie, as I actually prefer it to the Ardbeg 10 year. It's not as good as the Uigeadail, but it's also not nearly as expensive.
Though in that particular flavor profile, for you fans of peated scotch, I know the Lagavulin 16 goes without saying, but I also highly recommend the Bruichladdich Port Charlotte and Caol Ila 12. Both are excellent Islay drams that I'd highly recommend to either of you.

I'll have to keep an eye out.
While I can enjoy Lagavulin 16, I find most of the Lagavulins are high on the price scale for the flavor profile. I'm much, MUCH more a Laphroaig guy. Quarter Cask (which has been in short supply since the pandemic) or Cask Strength preferred, but I'll take the ten year, Lore, or Special if that's all they got when I need more.

I'm a big fan of Ardbeg Corryvreckan but, at $90 a bottle, Wee Beastie tastes better!!!

Compass Box can do no wrong. My wife has quite a few of their bottles and it's all really good IMO.
Also a huge fan of Lag 16. I also have 2 different expressions of the Offerman, and about half a bottle of the Lag 12.

Yeah they make great stuff. We have a bottle of the Menagerie and the Myths and Legends. Both top shelf stuff. King of blended scotch brands, IMO. Never had a bad one.
IIRC, the Caol Ila 12 is the main base whisky for the Peat Monster.

A combo of Coors Light and Dr. Pepper mixed with Southern Comfort (puke!). I'm sure after tomorrow it'll be a dry house.

wife's cousin introduced me to Bevy Long Drink at his house ... a great "hot summer day" drink. i used to like Mike's Hard Iced Tea for hot summer days, but they quit making it, and Twisted Tea tastes like ass
i haven't had that Squirt soda for years, but Bevy kinda tastes like that.

Glad you are enjoying it! Distilled a few minutes from my house. Definitely a good one.
