heading down a beach house this evening with some friends till Saturday or Sunday to ring in the new year.... besides the beer I'll drink once the sun is out, I'm taking a bottle of Monkey Shoulder and Famous Grouse with me.... The group of friends I'm gonna be with means it's gonna be a drinking marathon so I'm leaving the good stuff at home lol

God... I haven't had absinth is YEARS..... I just had a local Stout last night while gaming..... fighting off a flu so really didn't feel to do much drinking

Absolutely nothing wrong with Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. That stuff punches way above its price point. It's great on the rocks as a sipper.

Apparently you just need practice. I had the same yesterday and feel a bit meh today, but no real physical issues.

I wish I had the bottled in bond. That's some of the best cheap whiskey money can buy. Old Granded BiB is pretty good too. Old Fashioneds with either is a good sip.

I haven't had any bad days after drinking EW.... I sip on it neat, granted I've never done more than half a bottle in a single sitting but to me once you get past the half way point it doesn't matter how fancy your liquor is you'll feel it in the morning...

Old Grandad BiB isn't bad, it's got more of a licorice type of quality to it that makes me prefer the Evan Williams BiB.

I'll tell you what's really good...one good sized ice cube, a rocks glass, pour one finger of the Evan Williams BiB, and one finger of Old Tub BiB into that glass. Let it sit until the ice cube gets a decent chill to the bourbon, and go town. Slowly. :lol: Delicious.

I’ve been in Vegas since Thursday. Plane is currently landing back home in Cleveland. I drank Jack and Coke exclusively. Lost a ton of money and puked three nights. One was projectile vomit at Park MGM into the urinal before finishing all over one of the stalls. Yeah, when I go to Vegas with friends it gets ugly. My wife always knows when it’s time to shut me down when we go.

On the plus side MGM took me to the airport in a limo.

Someone mentioned they had some spiked egg nog, a few days ago. Had to try it out... good stuff!!!

I’m having a beer that is a collaboration with Motörhead’s licensing, and part of the proceeds went to helping out the roadies whose livelihoods were affected by the events of the past two years. It’s called Road Crew.

I made aged spiked bourbon two years ago. Just had it over Thanksgiving. It’s amazing. Kinda weird drinking something I mad two years ago but whatevs.

While that would be cool as hell to have on the shelf, I'd just about guarantee that bourbon is about half a step above pisswater. Most of these celebrity/musician branded whiskies are crap. The one exception being the Metallica stuff. A big read flag on this one is the 40% ABV. Don't get me wrong, it's cool, and would look great on a shelf, but it's probably something you'd take a sip of, and say "well, it's bourbon I guess".
