Rex certainly got lucky. Whether or not I always like Pantera (even though I always do); dude had it easy I'd say. Like "extreme metal" Bobby Dahl.

This is a killer lineup for a tribute. I'm excited and will definitely try to catch a show.

Agree with Billy & Endtime.... noone else besides Zakk could pull it off at that level, IMO. And Charlie is a great fit too....If only there was a way to work in Wes Borland somehow...

It's fun watching all the infighting about this all over the internet. My understanding is that they are billed as Pantera, but it's a tribute-ish tour and there aren't plans to make new music moving forward.

That's awesome for the fans, and I think everyone is just getting hung up on the semantics of it. :idk:

Haha me too!

One Hot Minute is such a great jam, and I don't think they mention California once on that record.

Incorrect. Deep Kick refers to escapades in San Francisco and Los Angeles, and the cities, by name.

Great album, though. Definitely the last one I really liked.

One Hot Minute and that era would have been better if they would have chilled with the "Let Dave Navarro's look and vibe take over the entire band into gross territory". Too much bro. Too much.

I think it should have been Gary Holt. He definitely has the chops, stamina, flair and namesake to pull it off. Either him or Brandon Ellis of TBDM.

Also, just call it what it is; an 'after death' tribute. Like "Death To All" was for the band Death.
