To me it beats the Analogman but it did take a bit of tweaking the internal trimpots, swap the chip, and find basically the one setting that sounds good to me.


I haven't messed with the internal trim pots on mine, but I am curious about some of the other chips

I think I have had 3 at this point... They do that thing amazing, but mess with the attack/tone when bypassed. So I always ditch them.

I still think the MT IV is the best, but I may use the Q tron at CHIB 3. I hate how close the two buttons are on the MT4. Stupid.

I built a clone of the Mutron Micro V, and it is the best filter I have used. Something about those Mutron designs that just sound right.

I haven’t had it on my board in a while but the Sudbecay Prometheus is cool as hell and has always been my favorite. He recently dropped a new version that looks even more complicated but I bet it sounds awesome.

I use the MXR bass env filter, I use it mainly for clean rhythm parts, it sounds great.
