OT: Needing a change of scenery, where to go?

I am pretty happy where I am. One thing i would consider, for anyone who is moving, is the impending water crisis this country will face in the near future. Places like Texas, or other arid areas where people live are going to become drier and drier. Just read about this last week on CNN.com I believe.

Living up here in Minneapolis, we have a great water supply, tons of lakes, and have the great lakes very close.

There isn't a water crisis, just a crisis of will to get water where it is needed. The EPA and environmental groups are shutting down water supplies everywhere they can.

Just sayin.

Yes. But we have killer avocados so that makes up for it.

I don't like avacados but my friend once she gets through school we'll be able to get a place together so at the most i'd have to make it on my own for like 6 months haha

There will be some culture shock and adjustment but overall you'll either love it or hate it.
Go for it, find out for yourself.

I come from about as small a town as one can come from and I'm currently in the heart of third largest city in the country and absolutely love it.

I would do that but i only work a min wage job right now and they wouldn't let me have that much time off. Oh another plus to going to reseda is my friends dad could most likely hook me up with a job at a mom and pop music store there!!!

And yeah, CA is expensive but there are also a lot of opportunities to make money here. I think it all depends on the person's drive and willingness to succeed.
