WTB: ESP Viper

Post by Steinmetzify »

Different direction musically due to that shoulder injury. Tuning lower, playing slower.

You got an SS series you’re looking to move, let me know. No LTDs, no CS or US, no need for that.

Thanks!

If it's going to be for tuning lower, why not get the baritone Viper? Unless you don't like charcoal colored guitars. That guitar is like a Model T. You can get it in any color you like, as long as it's charcoal. The Viper would be sweet in naval blueberry camo.

Have had baritone guitars before, and probably will again, but for this one I want that shorter scale.

1: is that tone that 24.75” scale guitars get when you use those 12-60 strings for tuning down to B standard or whatever

2: I have a feeling that scale would really suck with this left shoulder injury.

I’ve thought about it tho, good call. There was one on Reverb awhile back for like a grand but it sold before I got the $ together.

Thanks for the input Ry.

I love Vipers. But iirc; they are super heavy and hang a little weird. Maybe not the best for your shoulder situation? Sorry to hear you are going through that, btw. Is that from the FedEx crash here a while back? Ugh.

Jive it’s for a doom/sludge thing I’m doing with a bro, just online. I’d only ever play it sitting down for the most part, heavy isn’t really a concern.

Yeah fedex crash, 3 months later, mostly healed but still.

That makes sense. It definitely takes longer to heal the older we get.

Even though DevilDriver is more of a Groove Death band than Speed.

Speedy wishes on your recuperation.
