The last season of Future Man was pretty good. Haven was hilarious. Watching Tiger go through her goat training was epic as shit. Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, The Linc-man and his tether ball, gawd damn. And then ending with a "based on a true story" and bringing other actors in to pretend they were the real people teaching the actors how to play them. Holy fuck! I about busted a gut laughing at that. Gawd damn hilarious.

Josh confusing Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein was also pretty  .

That show's is probably gonna be a rewatch at some point. So much funny.

well... after last night's episode of Better Call Saul it seems like Kim just set her exit to the series in motion..... don't think she's going to die but it's going to boil down to either she has to leave or just straight up leaves Jimmy....

I've been thinking that for two seasons. Yet still, there she is.

"I don't like it. I don't want you to do it."

That's pretty much the theme of her character. I'm hopeful every time we go through this this will finally be the kick-off I've been hoping for, but nope. Just more round-and-round.

At least some shit went down with Saul and Mike. Slow burn shit, but shit.

Somehow, even with the big doin's, it still felt a bit like a filler episode. We're just biding our time until we can do that big end of season *GASP* moment. Hopefully it's a little more fulfilling this year than last season's was.

It was the fly episode, but set outside, and the fly had guns.

yeah know what you mean... but.... I think telling Salamanca she knows who he is and think that because she's married to Saul he has nothing to worry about is a little more than her just saying I don't like this... but yeah... could also boil down to a big nothing burger.... I don't think she's going to die though.... probably just leave, I think if they killed her Saul would have run as well... but her leaving would toss him in to the deep end where we know he goes.

I've been praying for her to leave or get killed off or something for two seasons. Which is why I have zero faith this is the final drop. They'll drag it out until middle of next season at least.

Got a cheap Starz sub over the weekend. Binged Dublin Murders over the last few days. Great dour UK crime drama. If you dig that sort of thing; it's very good, imo. Even a few small glimmers of humor that you usually don't get that don't detract from the overall vibe. Good stuff.

Been dropping in on my wife's Downton Abbey binge over the lockdown as well. I am liking it quite a bit more than I expected I would.

Mayan's latest season had some real gut-punchers in the final couple episodes.

Then we hear Kurt Sutter got fired by the network, so we may not see any more of this particular show. They had some great set-up work for what was bound to be an absolutely insane next season, so that's a little disappointing. Who knows, maybe it's just contract negotiation tactics at this point.

Letterkenny. Second time through and just as fucking funny. The hockey players just crack me up when Shoresy gets to insulting Riley and Jonesy. And the coach going out of his way to move a trash can so it's in the perfect place to kick before screaming "IT'S FUCKING EMBARASSING!"

"Didn't he fuck an ostrich?"

"Allegedly."

"But it was a sick ostrich."

"Allegedly."

Anybody looking for a good mind-fuck needs to watch Devs/Deus. That show fucks. The ending of the last episode left me with all sorts of  , but in a good way.

Now, none of it's believable, so you have to allow yourself a bit of leeway with reality, but if you do. . . gat damn. Imagine a computer that doesn't just see everything as it exists, but everything as it could exist in multiple planes of existence. A multiverse, as it were. All the way from the big bang until the end of time. Or the end of time as it sees it. Or the point where it can no longer see time. Can't say much more without giving it away.

Started back up Goldbergs. We stopped around S5ish for whatever reason? Nice fluffy show that hits the easy feels while keeping it light.

Started Stan Lee's Lucky Man the other day. Um; pretty solid? Nothing super hero-esque other than the "lucky streak" of the title character. Decent british crime drama that actually takes itself a little lighter than most. Which I can appreciate. 3 seasons which we will slowly finish up over time. The cliffhanger trick at the end of each episode would drive me nuts if I was watching it in real time though

Goldbergs was terrific for us eighties kids when it first kicked off. Somewhere in the past couple years they've given up the premise and just keep doing the same story in repeat fashion with different reasons for each family member being pissed off at the other. I kinda miss the earlier seasons.

Schooled actually does a better job with the feels now than Goldbergs. But don't watch it until Laney leaves the Goldbergs. She's the title character for the first few episodes of Schooled, and remains a pretty big part of it on an ongoing basis.

Yeah the last few episodes we've watched Laney came back so they could drop out of college and start their chick band. Which was after a weird Goldbergs without the Goldbergs in the 90s episode. I can see what you are saying as there is a definite formula at play.

The Goldbergs is off track a little, but it's still 30 minutes of enjoyable escape. It's also occasionally hilarious. And, Erica floats my boat for some reason, so there's that...

So, the 90s episode was actually a pilot for a show that was going to be a spin-off set in the nineties. It failed when it ran as a pilot, so when they had a break they thought they'd shove it into the main Goldberg's time slot and get more traction. It actually pissed me off how little it had to do with the Goldberg's, even though I really like the coach and the guidance counselor/principle as characters.

Fast forward and a year and some change later, Laney leaves again, and suddenly this show called "Schooled" starts up. Same school, same coach, same principle. Laney comes in to be the music teacher. And it's actually a pretty good show, if you can tolerate the nineties musical references.

I've seen the previews somewhere for it. I'll have to check it out if it's on Hulu.

Started City on the Hill series with Kevin Bacon last night. Sort of a Law and Order-ish take from Showtime (? can't quite recall in the 17 streaming services going now because we're locked the f**k down mode). Only watched the first episode but was very good. Has a number of other "recognize their faces" tv actors in it. Set in early 90s Boston. I will be binging it this week as it goes away on the 30th I believe. If you dig Kevin Bacon and the cop show/crime drama format; give it a go.

Dave is seriously one of the best shows ever. If you can have the funniest diarreah scene next to Dumb and Dumber and shift to the biggest feels in a 10 minute timespan; you're doing something right. Seriously great.
