I don't use Reaper but, from what I understand, it's supposed to be free. Maybe it's the full version but, after the expiration, it reverts to the free version?

It is Boyscout ware. It is sooo damn cheap if you like it the $60 is nothing. It even includes some really nice VST's for "free". Theme it to look like anything you want. The support and amount of training videos out there alone make it a no brainer.
