I watched about 10 minutes of the first one,I had no idea that capacitors could be installed a wrong or right way,Thanks for these videos..I will be modding my amp probably within next 7-10 days and will be watching what I am doing even more now..I am already liking this forum a lot,you all here have lots of great members here that offer and pass out good info,I will be glued here !
Yup, this is, without a doubt, the best guitar/amp forum on the interwebznet!
Yowza! I posted these vids so long ago, I forgot about them. The thing is, unless you're installing an electrolytic (with +/- markings) you need a tester. Glad you bumped this because now, I'm going to build one. Cheers!!!!
What amp are you working on and what mod are you doing?

Thanks for the heads up, these will be watched. I knew some had polarity, and how to check for polarity on a board. But I wasn't aware of Orange Drops having polarity. My novice eyes are looking at my JCA 50H now with suspicion. I may need more solder wick.
I thought I was obsessive with two scopes. He definitely knows his shit when it comes to electronics, and I'll be testing caps from now on. Doubt I'll build the tester since you need a scope anyway, just as easy to use the first method he showed. Fun stuff...
