This rig is how I'd been playing for the last 5-6 years.
1994 LP Studio: Stock neck up, Seymour Duncan SH6 in the bridge, total = $410
Rivera Thirty Twelve/r30: Paid $450 for it on ebay
Total= $860.

I've used every guitar I have with this amp. It's a great practice amp.
Peavey VYPYR VIP 2 - $200 new.
Partscaster Strat
Allparts Neck- $200
Fender American Special Body- $150
Fender 59 Singles and Duncan SSL-6 - About $150 altogether
Additional Misc Hardware about $100
All told about $800.

Easily under $1000.
Peavey VTM 60 ($400 for head and cab)
Peavey 60/60 power amp ($150 with a ART Multiverb LT)
Peavey Deltafex processor ($free with my bass amp purchase. Not worth much but is plenty awesome)
Peavey Butcher straight and slant cabs. One with G12K-85’s and other with Sheffield 1200’s (Butcher cab with sheffield 1200's $100)
BBE Green Screamer ($35)
First Act guitar withe Sheptone Tribute pickup ($40 for guitar and $50 for pickup)
$775 ish total.

Peavey XXX - traded a Genz Benz G-Flex or it on Harmony Central. I paid $285 for that cab with tax. The grill and tolex was probably around $75
Marshall Cabs - Bought these over the summer for $300 for the pair
Ibanez RG550 - Free. My girlfriends mom salvaged it from a dumpster.
Total Cost: $655

Congrats to Itchy! That's some damn quality equipment for under $1000. PM me your address so I can send you some cork sniffing strings for that rig.
