Really glad I was able to help. Seriously one of the easiest Craigslist deals I've ever done. No raep at all.

Also, you guys need to get in on the cash.me thing for passing moneys around. Tom was able to shoot the money into my account super-fast, and it was in my account almost instantly (1% fee). So much better than screwing with PayPal.

If I ever bought a Laney that would be the one. Congrats Tom! Glad you and Grimes got it coordinated!

Tom and/or G-Space, you guys realize this amp requires a clips thread and nothing but Sabbath riffs being played through it right? I expect to hear Into the Void, Voodoo, I, Children of the Grave, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Iron Man, War Pigs and NIB at minimum.

Ok - playlist set

But no laffing at my shite playing, especially after Tom gets through showing how its done.

Gonna boost it with the Bion, in true Iommi fashion. Just wish I still had the SG around

Is the built in Boost, a treble boost, or just a regular boost?

Didn't have a lot of time with it last night, but it seemed much more like a clean boost. Definitely MOAR of whatever you have dialed - didn't seem like it was cutting low-end as a treble boost would, although it did seem to tighten things up a bit. The whole rig (Old Hamer guitar with tetanus-inflicting rusty strings > amp > Splawn cab) sounded beastly. Definitely a gain monster.

Nope - really didn't need it, and it honestly was going to be more of a headache to keep than anything else. Besides, I've still got the 1960AX, and it's no slouch.

Lets just say Tom's taking care of me :fap:

... sorry, couldn't resist. :D For the record, Tom is a seriously good guy and is being incredibly generous with showing his appreciation. I'd have been totally satisfied just getting to see, hear, and play the thing first hand. It's a *major* bucket-list amp for me, fo' sho'.

And, to return the complement, Greg (itchy) has done way more than his fair share of favors and giving here. GAB is good. GAB is great :rawk:

Late to the jerk :fap:

Good on Grimes for helping a bro out  I bet that head is mean as fuck sounding  The VH and GH series (and I am going to assume, the TI series?) are amps that I feel like I want to crank the the gain to a specific point, then boost the ever-loving shit out of it with something different flavored to just make it crush and give it that last push over the top. I wonder if there are some profiles out there of this guy... :hmm:

Congrats Tom!

This is like the one sig amp that I'd love to try. If I was on the west coast, I'd be bringing my happy ass and my P-90 SG to Grime's place to bring the heavy.
