Peavey 6534+
Are these noticeably different in tone versus the 6505+? I've heard JerryP basically say that EL34s in the 6505 series amps yields less than desirable tone, but also mentions that the 6L6 tubes are biased on the cold side from the factory. Are there any circuit differences other than the necessary modding to accommodate the EL34s?

The amps are exactly the same except for the tubes, and they did some stuff to the clean channel to make it cleaner. I've seen alot of people complain that the 6534s are to "fizzy" straight out of the box. Youtube demos seem to confirm this. The bias could very well have something to do with it, but idk much about it.
