Great feature in Reaper, plugins organization

Post by nakedzen »

Just was wondering to myself wouldn't it be great if I could organize all my plugins in Reaper by type, like delay, compressor etc.

Well it turns out you can.

Open the add fx window, then right click on My Folders to add folders:

After you've made your folders, you can drag and drop plugins from the list to them.

After you've added the plugins you want in the folders, you can right-click on the Insert to get this:

Aye, very handy! :thu:

Tell me about the Klanghelm Dc8c compressor. And the Red3. I will shower you with women and gold.

Lol. The Red 3 I don't use so much, I actually prefer the Slate since it sounds smoother and high middy. Compared to the Slate it's more aggressive sounding.

Klanghelm is awesome. I haven't even scratched the surface on it, it's like 4-5 compressors in one.

Here's a clip, Slate drums, 4 bars per comp, Slate Red-Focusrite Red 3-Klanghelm DC8C.

The focusrite is pumping a bit on the same settings as the others. 3:1 ratio, fast attack slow release.

Interesting, I'll have to give it a try. But I doubt it'll replace Molot as my #1 bass comp, which is more "huge wall of sound" than punchy.

You can also make Chains. So on kick, I always use the same 3-4 effects, so I just created a chain of those effects and settings. One click and kick is ready to go.

Can't get the link to work. Lament!

I've got Klanghelm MJUC and love that, been using the second mode a lot on bass recently.

Any of you guys tried Boz +10db Compex? Adore that on drum bus, you can go mental with the gain reduction.
