So Steve came out to the jam last night and hung out with us. First I'd like to say thank you to Steve for doing that and and for building me this box. I decided to leave my BL80's at home and brought my 1x12's so it was all EV and ET65 and I gotta say it's a killer blend. We had a great sound going on last night, but that's gonna happen no matter what
However!!! There was like a 40 minute period of time where we were trying to figure out a "problem". "Problems" can get complicated when one of the trouble shooters in the equation maybe is high. For a minute I was entertaining the possibility that Steve's box was faulty and caused my OT to go out after running it for a while cause at one point after warming up a little the sound just cut out. We went through a lot of troubleshooting. I thought it was my trademark "you're doing it wrong" but it wasn't me this time. Turns out... Fretless had a bad spare speaker cable. That all got hectic for a minute.
So yeah! Good times. Good jam. Good serial box. Good people.

It was my pleasure to be able to help you guys on your way to playing the big arenas - just remember us little guys at GRIMESPACE Custom, eh?
Really enjoyed hanging out with you guys again. After GABfest next week, lets start planning a SoCal Ampfest again!
I made a similar box a few years ago to give me some cab flexibility. I have a few cabs that are wired 8 x 8 ohm stereo and wanted to make a box that would allow me to connect them in series for 16 ohms or parallel for 4 ohms. I'm actually using this box now with my '92 412MS cab because that cab is wired that way too. My solution was the same as GRIMES right down to the Rat Shack job box. I guess great minds really do think alike bro.
