the vintage one does indeed sound better , smoother , especially when cranked . Both of these little guys sound bad ass driving another amp with it's line out .

Thanks guys , so I spent some more time running the line out into a Marshall , a TW clone and a Fender combo and I can see why those players did it back then . It nails that skanky Joe Walsh instantly and it just sounds bad ass . The new one is not as smooth but still pretty cool . Try it if you have one of these , if you don't , pick one up they are stupid cheap and are indeed the perfect little practice pig.
