Which is better and why?

I only had old DSL's, but you're gonna find them used for cheap (I picked up my current one for 500 Euros) if you don't mind buying used...plus they are made in England, so they'll hold the value better IMHO since the new ones are made in Vietnam

Not quite what you are asking, but I just got a DSL40C that I am in rabid love with. Once I flip the switch, I couldn't care less where it's made.

Can't wait to check out a new one so i can make the comparison. I too, don't care where they are made. My Jet City proved to me that I can have a quality Asian-made amp.

I'm slightly more inclined to buy the new one, since it has some cool added features, but I'm not crazy about it being made in vietnam.

I think the JCM2000 is still the better deal at the moment because there are so many of them for cheap in the used market. But the new one sounds great, it's very much like my JCM2000 DSL and the new features are awesome. Also the build quality is really decent, despite being made in Asia. The new pcb layout is a LOT cleaner.

I wouldn't mind giving one a shot. I'm not sure about the new features though. didn't they add a adjustable depth/resonance ?

The new one sounds pretty good IMO. I've never tried the older 100 watt version, only the 50, and that one was pretty bitchin.
