Kills a kitten. By masturbating with it.
"If there was only a way that I couldn't even any less than I already can't then I'd gladly not, but I think I've entered some quantum paradox, dark matter levels of can't evening where the total absolute value of not evenness exceeds all ability to explain the can'ting." - MR RUBATO

He watches. Duh.
Misplaced priorities and squandered opportunities.

I prefer people who have an ethical base vs. some sort of subjective "Moral" compass.

Here's a hint... People who need a religion to tell them right from wrong are fucked. They're the sort of weak minded individuals who can justify anything in the name of God. No doubt, the 911 hijackers felt they were completely justified in their actions, as are the Westboro Baptist idiots.

On the other hand, a good foundation in ethics and the fundamental truth that all ethical behavior flows from empathy will serve someone quite well.

Right, wrong, ethics so much determined by the society where you're brought up/experiences.

The taking of your life is an honorable thing, well was, in Japan when you failed, but in America it isn't. Who is right? Who is wrong? Both. Ask me, I say have at it! Have you ever seen the traffic we have? OMFG! :freak:  Think we all should take up things to lessen our burden on the planet. But I have a well lamented dim view on humanity, myself included.

As for religion to justify hate, that's all it seems to be used for in my experience by fringe (or not so fringe) folks. Someone claims they have a line to god and knows what god wants and people follow? Really? How can adults be such children?

Or even that fucktard Benny Hinn ripping people off for money and his "healings". Me, Benny, and a room w/o winds for 13 min and he'll need some of those healing powers to save himself.

Still an interesting topic... in amps no less!

Derek

You're talking morals and cultural norms. Ethics are universal.

If everyone just lived by basic conscience and common Sence right and wrongs, there would be no need for organized religion. Religion was needed thousands of yrs ago in order to keep people in line of basic morals with fear tactics and tails of going to hell. That's hardly the case these days. Religion has caused more wars and killing and separation and hatred then just about any drug, gang, gun, etc etc all put together. It's for the weak minded who need a reward(heaven) for being a good person and something to fear(hell) to keep them from doing wrong. Oh, and p.s. a donation to your church won't get you a ticket to "heaven" :call:
